The Great Ice Cream Adventure

Today after church I got to spend some quality time with my oldest daughter while daddy took our youngest daughter to a birthday party. To make the time special, Ashley was given some options on how we could spend the afternoon.  She chose to get ice cream and to get our nails done, at home of course. So it began, the “Great Ice Cream Adventure.”  Who would have thought getting vanilla would be such a challenge. We first went to Yodiggity to find that the vanilla yogurt machine was broken.  We then went to Sierra Vista to find that Maggie Moo’s was no longer in business. By now we were hungry.  So we decided a slice of pizza would do the trick. Ice cream wasn’t off the table yet, so off to Baskin Robbins we went, hoping that 1 of the 31 flavors would be vanilla. Finally, we found the vanilla Ashley was holding out for. After we got our tummies full, it was time for nails. So we went home picked a color and I did Ashley’s nails. Then, it was time for rest…finally.
